Ted Post

Director of film and TV -- via the Hollywood Reporter. A key though largely unsung player during the days of live TV, the glut of TV Westerns of the '50s and '60s, and beyond. His film work was remarkably varied -- he directed Clint Eastwood in "Hang 'em High" and "Magnum Force," helemd the riveting Vietnam film "Go Tell the Spartans," and worked on other projects such as "Beneath the Planet of the Apes." For every "important" director out there, there are a dozen talented and hardworking directors who never get the spotlight. Take a bow, Ted!

Among his writings are numerous titles that became classic films, including "3:10 to Yuma," "The Tall T," "Hombre," "Valdez is Coming," 52 Pickup," "Get Shorty," and "Jackie Brown."
