Stuntman and actor -- via westernboothill.blogspot.com. Most memorably, he played the Gill Man (aka the Creature from the Black Lagoon) in "Revenge of the Creature" (on land only -- Ricou Browning did the underwater sequences, as he did in all three "Creature" films.)
