Jean Rollin

Film director -- via FEARnet.com. A leading craftsman of what many term "eurosleaze" or exploitation films such as "The Living Dead Girl," "Anal Madness," "Lips of Blood" and "Dracula's Fiancee."

  1. Rollin was a true artist with a unique vision. And a bloody good guy - always willing to talk to fans and discuss even the smallest details. Never destined to direct a big budget movie or make a splash on the mainstream, due to his desire to follow his own star. He's certainly left behind an "ouvre".

    I only hope future generations get to experience him work and make up their own minds. Never for everyone, never for the majority, he did manage to navigate a route for himself through all sorts of studio politics yet always maintain his own voice. A great loss.
