Sally McVey

A very Boulder obituary -- it shows that we can have a sense of humor about those we loved, and the transition from life to . . . what lies beyond, if anything. Sally sounds like she was a great human being who made a significant contribution to the universe and those around her. Via the Daily Camera

  2. Sally McVey is gone--an irreplaceable spirit. Thank you lake lady, space policy woman, & SwRI-Boulder founder, for gracing my life & others.

  3. Sally "Shadow" McVey was my closest friend at CU. We shared abodes, interests, heartbreaks and lots of laughs. She was maid of honor at my wedding to Boris in 1966, and we remained in touch off and on over the years. She will always remain a bright light in my memories of those marvelous years when we were all young, fearless and beautiful.

  4. Sally Mc vey lived next door to me my freshman year at C.U. in Sewell Hall. I remember the Beatles posters on their door...and I was thinking "WHo are they?" Shadow and Shannon were definitely avant-garde or I had been living in a cultural backwater. We had lots of laughs and good moments. I only kept in touch, after Boulder, through Sheila Tabakoff, but I was sad to hear the news and Happy Landings to "Shadow"! Mary Lou Johnson Ridinger
